"Doing the King's Business in Kings Mountain and Beyond" is a meaningful statement and an encouraging challenge to our church. Our desire is that we faithfully share the Good News of Jesus Christ not only here in our local community, but also around the world. Our missions program is very important to our members and leadership - this is clearly reflected in both our GIVING and our GOING!

Our GIVING reflects a commitment in our church budget to financially support the work of the Kings Mountain Crisis Ministry, the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association, and also the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. These efforts are supported through the regular tithes and offerings given faithfully by our church members. We also support seasonal mission offerings such as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. *** The Blair Williams Memorial Golf Tournament (yearly in September) and the Parade of Tables (yearly in Spring) are special fundraisers that provide for our Mission Readiness Program. It is through our Mission Readiness Program that we are able to send any willing member of our church on their first international mission trip - FREE! This is an amazing offer to our church members.

Our church is committed to GOING into all the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We have been able to send mission teams to Honduras, Haiti, Indonesia, Romania, and Canada. Our disaster relief teams go out on a regular basis to serve throughout the southeastern United States. Two teams will be sent this year to Canada to support the work of Tim & Andrea Whitesides and Southwinds Church. We send a youth mission team every two years to San Ignacio, Honduras to help the work of Chris & Donna Keeter. We look forward to the future of MISSIONS here at First Baptist Church - as we seek to serve here in Kings Mountain and also Beyond!
